The Spring Gardens is located just north of Center City Philadelphia and comprises the city block bounded by 18th and 19th Streets between Wallace Street and North Street. We are a few blocks away from the historic Eastern State Penetentiary, the Callowhill Whole Foods and the Main Branch of the Public Library. The entrance is on North Street, between 18th and 19th Streets.
We are easily accessed by public transportation on SEPTA’s 33 bus which travels from downtown to 20th and Fairmount Avenue. Walk 1 block east on Fairmount and turn right. The neighborhood has some great coffee houses, restaurants and shops as well as the offices of the Mural Arts Program in the historic Thomas Eakins House, the newly renovated Roberto Clemente Playground (where the Fresh Prince of Bel Air plays basketball in the tv show intro).
